When to get in touch

Every child develops at their own pace, but it's worth a chat with a speech pathologist if your child:

  • isn't babbling by around 12 months
  • has very few words by 18 months
  • isn't putting two words together by 2 years
  • is hard for family to understand by 3 years
  • doesn't seem to understand simple instructions, or gets frustrated when trying to talk

You don't need to wait. If something is worrying you, getting advice early is never a waste.

Our approach

Early support for strong communication

At CommuniKids Speech Therapy, we believe early intervention is key to building strong communication skills. Our speech therapists use play-based, child-led approaches to create a fun and supportive environment where young children can develop essential language skills.

We work closely with parents and caregivers, providing strategies that can be used in daily routines to encourage communication growth beyond the therapy room. By focusing on early language development, we aim to boost confidence, social engagement, and school readiness.

Whether a child is experiencing speech delays, difficulty understanding language, or challenges with social interactions, our goal is to provide effective, evidence-based support to help them reach their full potential.
